Folk Art Ant / Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft

This adorable Folk Art Ant sits on Susan's Coffee Table. Susan frequents the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft.

Susan's Beloved Dogs Coee and Tootsie

Coee and Tootsie were rescues and lived a really long, happy, elegant life with Susan. They loved living in Susan's Highland home. The backyard was pimped out with a picket fence, patio, deck, and a fire pit. Just for them. Tootsie had a vintage wicker bed. Coee was found on the Coee River. She did not know her life would become one of glammor and luxury after her rough life on the Coee. Both girls took up modeling for Susan's holiday cards. Ileen Haily painted these pillows of the girls in their early modeling career.

It was a sad summer for Susan as both girls passed from this world to the next. The girls are missed by all who knew them.

Dinner Party @ Susan Abbott's Lovely Highlands Home

Susan may give Rick a run for his title of best table decor. She had a small intimate (girls only) dinner party in the middle of the week. It was wonderful!

I thought, why don't I entertain more! That is my resolution in 2011. Gather more with friends and family. So right after this lovely event I had 10 over for Thanksgiving. Yikes! Glad I had the food catered!

Showgirls

Jamison Brumm, Deb Chenault, Theresa Kibby, Ruby Ballard, and Me. The last time we were all together was at Art in the Highlands. Happy Holidays Showgirls! See you in the new year!

Ruby Ballard / Ruby's Wraps

Rode on Ruby's coat tails....as she won Best Of Show in Excellence this year at the Columbus Winerfair. Her Ruby Wrap's Jackets are made from African Mud Cloth. Ruby prefers traditional jacket designs. Her jacket linings pop with color. She is soooo picky about her seams, buttons, lining, fit, etc.... Her repeat customers all come to give her compliments and buy another jacket. I was soooo happy for her it was as if I won the award. After the show we went to find a JoAnne's Fabrics to spend that award money on liner fabric for Ruby! I too can always manage to find something at JoAnne's Fabrics.
