Deb's Window Treatments

When you are living in the woods all you want to see out of your windows is the beauty of the land.

Deb has the coolest window treatments made from all sorts of exotic wood. She saw them in a catalog and tried to order. The company was so backordered that they gave her the source of the materials for a Do it yourself project.

Undaunted, Deb gets the materials and can't believe that a project that looks so simple is very time consuming. She has to drill thru the wood vertically and line up the holes from top to bottom.

The outcome is perfection!

I love doing the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen show in Berea, KY because I get to visit and stay with Deb in her lovely house in the woods.

Deb makes a wonderful line of jewelry out of sterling and copper. Her studio is located on the ground floor of her art filled, book filled, home. But I am going to concentrate on her cool living space.

Worth a road trip to Berea, KY. Lovely drive. The show is located in the woods of the Indian Fort Theatre. Gather your friends and pile in that van. See you there!

Robbie and Jamison

Jamison Brumm will be at the St. James Art Fair this year. She keeps making noises that she will retire from shows. I just can't imagine a show without Jamie in it. Say it ain't so!!!

This year the J-Girl had a significant Birthday. When we were trying to remember how long we have been friends I was reminded of how my life is so much better with Jamie in it!

Studio Improvement

It's still not perfect but will do for now. Jamison Brumm suggested that since I can't seem to resist from filling the central tabletop in my studio,"make it a permanent display". So far this has worked. It is still a working studio with a bit of order. I will keep finessing. Somewhere there should be more order. Considering that it is the 4th quarter and I have shows almost every weekend...it is a success just to see the floor.
