Sophie Parshall

Sophie Vogues with her Block Woman. It's hip to be Square!

Note that Sophie is standing on my mini trampoline. Yes, it was one of my failed excersize plans. Jump during Oprah each day. Ha!

Brooke Parshall

Yes, I let the girls loose in my studio and it will never be the same. Brooke has talent as a hat designer. Note her adorable chapeau. She also has learned to write her name. The letters are there you just need to know where to look.

Sophie and Brooke Parshall

When niece Sophie was Brooks age she helped me with my Art Truck. She wanted to see where she signed her name. There is a leaf with her signature. Brooke ,who was not even born when the art truck was made with help from all my nieces and nephews,.....was not impressed.

The Season Begins in March !!!!!

Happy Go Lucky

This is a new line I have developed for Spring called Happy Go Lucky or Footloose and Fancy Free. Never can decide on the perfect title so I may use both.

My designs are cut out of raw brass. The metal is then sanded and polished and ready to paint. After the paint is dry I then etch. This process removes the paint and allows the metal to show thru. Metal is then lacquered. Finally the metal is assembled into this necklace with split rings and beads. The resulting process that I made up is called Gypsy Graffiti....Because the painting and etching is like my Graffiti and the finished product once beaded to death is the Gypsy part.

Making Derby 3

Porgy and Bess / Singletary Center for the Arts

There was no better place to be on Super Bowl Sunday than Lexington, Ky @ the sold out performance of Porgy and Bess.

The entire cast was awesome but we esp. loved handsome Keith Dean who played Crown and happens to be Jeff's man. Jeff was so proud! He had been to every performance. Never gets tired of seeing and hearing Keith sing.

Number One Fans of Keith Dean

Keith and Jeff. Robbie and Keith. Keith and Susan.

We had to wait in line to be photographed with the talented and handsome Keith Dean!

Susan and Jeff

They look sooo adorable and not a speck of lint. We met Jeff in Lexington and ate a wonderful brunch at Ramseys. I just love a good brunch!!!!

Our cute waitress made us get desert. Carmel, nut encrusted apple pie. She asked if it was as good for us as it was for her. Adorable! Susan thinks she outsmarted me by picking up the check! Ha, I graciously said thank you as I plot on how to get her back!

Behind the Scenes

Yes...Jeff travels with a Travel Pocket Lint Remover!!! Here he is de-linting Susan.

Still...The Month of Love

My store will be open today 11-4. I'm just saying.................................

Kent's New Lucky Shirt

Once a season or maybe more often Kent will order a new shirt that he deems his Lucky shirt (LS). Here is the one he ordered for Philly.

Each day Kent will choose which Lucky shirt he will wear to keep his audience entertained.

Also, knowing he looks adorable in his LS helps!

Just Stuff

Found these cute containers and added treasures from my home studio. Sold in my store. Great for collages or to just look at the stuff!

Making Derby 2

Bright colors always work for Derby. I will also pimp some designs out with PINK for the Oaks.

Another Trash Find

Found this last week. I thought about sawing it in half and mounting to kitchen cabinets to hold cook books.........but who am I kidding...I don't cook. Now I am not sure what it can be. If I don't think of something by next friday it goes out on the street in our trash.

Phantom 309 / canoo.etsy.com

Deb found this adorable creature made from sweaters and salvaged stuff. Hand stitched and one of a kind. Now I can't wait to get the artist work in my store.

Making Derby

Derby designs after cutting, grinding, etching, drilling, and manipulating metal. Finally adhered pin backs. Now for the fun part, wire, beads, etc.... Each pin has about 9 steps before it is ready to sell. Derby countdown.

Happy Groundhog Day

Ground Hog Day is one of my all time favorite movies. We are destined to repeat mistakes over and over till we slove them.

While the rest of the country was hit with the worst snow storm in history...Louisville is only suffering from flurries.

Not enough to put life on hold. I was sorta looking forward to another snow day.

Always on a never ending quest to have the perfect Chandlier in our dining room.

Kent Returns From Orlando

Yes........He's back from his extremely successful wholesale show in Orlando. Met Kent at Cafe LuLu to hear all about it!

Kent's business is called The Laughing Boy...one of the other crafters saw how busy he was and said "The Laughing Boy is Laughing all the way to the bank!"

He will laugh his way to the Rosen Show in Philly in a couple weeks! Laugh On With Your Bad Self!
