Robbie and Jamison

Jamison Brumm will be at the St. James Art Fair this year. She keeps making noises that she will retire from shows. I just can't imagine a show without Jamie in it. Say it ain't so!!!

This year the J-Girl had a significant Birthday. When we were trying to remember how long we have been friends I was reminded of how my life is so much better with Jamie in it!

You can find Jamie and her wonderful jewelry on Magnolia Street between 3rd. and 4th. If you want to know the St.James Art Show History get on jamisonbrumm@blogspot.com where fun facts about the show are featured.

See you @ the show!

St. James Art Show, Louisville, KY

This weekend one of the top Art Shows in the country is in my own backyard.

I feel really lucky to be part of this awesome show each year!

I just Can't wait! See you on Friday!!!

Studio Improvement

It's still not perfect but will do for now. Jamison Brumm suggested that since I can't seem to resist from filling the central tabletop in my studio,"make it a permanent display". So far this has worked. It is still a working studio with a bit of order. I will keep finessing. Somewhere there should be more order. Considering that it is the 4th quarter and I have shows almost every weekend...it is a success just to see the floor.

Home Studio Now What???

OK now I have offically closed my store and in spite of all the decluttering I did over the summer and my big ass sales where we were giving things away....I still have lots of STUFF! I have given myself today and tomorrow to get things into shape. It is the 4th quarter and I have lots of stock to make for my shows so I can't be wasting time organizing and editing.

The Lost "Art" Of the Letter

This arrived in the mail yesterday from Gaye Medbury. It is too pretty to open so I am savoring right now. And I will be really careful when I open.

Magic Unfolds / Tamara Scantland Adams

Tamara was across from me at the Mellwood Art Fair last weekend. Working from a photograph...I watched as she made a blank page come to life. You can find her at www.tamarasartwork.com. She does commissions.

My Store @ The Mellwood Art Center is Offically Closed

I have loved being at the Mellwood Art Center. But it requires my attention. I do Art Shows and they require my attention. Then on top of everything I make my line of whimsical art jewelry which requires most of my attention. Multitasking was taking a toll on me. After 7 years of having a store I decided that I am only one person and I need to Simplify! Turned in my keys today. Sad to leave such a cool place behind. But then again I feel Freeeeeeeeeee!

9/11 Tribute Jewelry / Raising Funds for Red Cross

Thanks to Rachel Platt from WHAS 11 for interviewing me about my tribute jewelry. And also thanks to the folks who purchased. Together we raised some much needed funds for the American Red Cross who are always first responders. I will keep selling this line and donating 100% of the proceeds to the Red Cross. It's an easy way to give back and pay tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11.
