I can always count on Bear to pose for me. LuLu wouldn't even come outside all she needed to see was the camera in my hand and she knew no good could come from the endeavor. Bear knows he is adorable and the entire land lives to dote on him.
Here is Patti featuring her new KY Cakes for Derby. Derby Sticker on Packaging makes a Great Hostess Gift! The small one is the perfect size for a person needing a pick me up. I know this because people have told me. Oh who am I kidding.....I get one every time I need a sugar fix.
Is it a Bird? A Plane? What is Kent holding???? It is the creature he designed for JanJoBe's Creature Show. Located @ the Mellwood Arts Center. Opening Reception March 26th. During the Trolley Hop. My store will unveil my new line of Derby Jewelry. Celia is also featuring Jewelry to accent your Derby Duds. We call ourselves The Derby Jewelry Headquarters! Also, home of my world famous wine spritzer. Come on out and see us this friday.
Right now I am reading Ellen's book Pink Dice. Here she is in her poodle skirt and saddle oxfords promoting her book at the KY Craft Market. I have known Ellen for years and never knew she was a author. Jamie surprised me with an autographed copy of the book. Such a fun read!!!
Mellwood Arts Center is the Derby Jewelry Headquarters. March 26th will be our Derby Hop. I will have all my Derby Designs in my store. Including the new Backside pin. Also, my world famous wine spritzer. My store Goddess will be decked out in roses.

Years ago when Sam and I first married I made him dress up with Leprechan ear and Noses. We sent photos to our friends. Well today Kent posted this photo on his facebook. I am using my new copy/paste skills to steal it for my blog. We were really cute!!!
Jenny Elkins made my home studio Goddess. She suspected that I might change the color of her hair. But didn't know I would change her clothes.
At one point I made different dresses for her and changed them with the seasons like paper dolls. But now she is just draped in a shamrock flag. Just two more days till we all wear green.
Still working on all my wholesale orders from the KY Craft Market. Sooooo happy that my new designs were a hit along with some golden oldies. Love it when I can continue to earn a living making jewelry. Feel really lucky....Luck of the Irish!!!!!
T, Me, Deb, and Jamie at last years market. Didn't take a good photo of all of us this year so the blurry soft focus from last year will have to do. Such fun having the girls visit. Bill Brumm was here for one night and fled. We took T out for Indian Food for her B-day. Sam took off with dogs to our cabin on saturday. Kent, Rick, and Paula Cundiff came over for gourmet pizza and laughter saturday night. Well all PIPed (laugh so hard we pee in pants) when Kent tells a story. Sam and dogs returned from cabin in time to help me load up the show. The Craft Market was GREAT!!!! My Backside and Festival pins were big hits wholesale and retail. Developed a sinus infection on sunday from burning the candle at both ends. Went to get antibiotics today. I am missing my girls!!!! Sam is glad we are back to a quiet life but I secretly thinks he loves it when the girls visit. I heard ice cream is good for a sinus infection.....
Paula and Susan always make me smile. Paula does a line of wonderful hand made glass jewelry and Susan is a big Kahuna at the St. James Art Fair. Paula stays at Susan's house when in town and I know they are having slumber party that rivals mine!!!
Emily was one of our invited artists from Tennessee. She does wonderful collage wall art with found tin. Loved her work and purchased a girl with the checkered past. She said she never asks what my checkered past might be....Later....I discovered that Kent and Rick purchased a piece. Deb had to have one too. And cute Lisa S Bayly Boutique will be where we can purchase Emily in Louisville.
Someone left these wonderful bejeweled plyers hidden in my booth. I was soooooo excited...I thought who loves me enough to know I would love bejeweled plyers??? I asked all my friends and no one was fessing up to the gift. So I figured the story would come out sooner or later. And it did..... someone came forth and said they left something in my booth for me to turn into a necklace for them!!!!!
Other than the major dissapointment. We are having a FAB Market!!! Come out and see us today 10:00-5:00.
Yesterday Bill installed his eight foot commission window. The consumers insisted that blue bird and a red bird be in the design. When you live in KY there are sports fans that live in divided homes of loyalty.
Come on out to the Kentucky Crafted / The Market to see our guest artists from Southern Highland Guild. My buddy Q made it to KY this year. She makes delish Jewelry. I told her how nice we are in Kentucky.....
The art truck is loaded. The show info is on the back window. My company arrives today and we set up for the show this afternoon. It is always exciting to set up a show. Esp. when you are ready. This year I am. It isn't alway so...often I set up and come home and finish work. Not this year. Can't wait to see all my art peeps!
Finally got a chance to decorate the house for St. Patrick. Mark Chatterley's dog in a shamrock headband. Kent Elpler's cowboy in a new hat. Greg Sigel's pottery whiskey jug tarts up and becomes even more Irish.
Today is the day of Theresa (T) Kibby's birth. Happy Birthday!!!!! T makes a wonderful line of anodized alum. jewelry that she will be showing at Kentucky Crafted/The Market this weekend. I also carry her line of Kibby's Kritters in my store at Mellwood. Have a great day T-Girl!!!! We will be sure to celebrate this weekend! P.S. I love this Glam photo of T. She just started using it on her facebook and I used my new copy/paste skills to steal it for my blog.
Bear never dissapoints when it comes to dress up. He knows he looks cute even when I put him in Irish drag.
Right now LuLu is outside hiding. Her hat fell off as she went thru the doggy door....even tho I put a comfortable elastic band to keep her hat firmly planted on her head. I think this is part of her witness protection program background where she will never let me photograph her. Not even in an Irish disguise.
I have been interested in ART all of my life. I studied art in college and opened a porcelain restoration business in Louisville which combined my interest in art with my appreciation and love of detail. I have always been a collector of many things, amassing hundreds of thousands of buttons, trinkets, charms, bijoux, beads, found objects, and all sorts of fun things. I currently produce a line of whimsical art jewelry which I wholesale and retail across the country. I've been married to Sam for 20 plus years and we have 3 rescued Black Chow Chow's. Bear, KeLe, and Zoee my children with FUR! I will be sharing my various collections, art shows, artists, friends etc. And any thing else I think is cool will be in this Blog.
